A commanding presence is demanded when she treads clawed foot into the room. Avacathi: the renowned treasure hunter. The stern and regal Ridgeback, accompanied by her stout owl familiar has arrived. First drawn in by the rumors of treasure in the Hewn Ruins, the famed Avacathi's expeditions had lead her to reside in Light territory under the employment of the Scholars' Guild. The hardened explorer recounts stories of her exploits through lessons at the Guild, and leads studious groups of dragons on adventures firsthand... These group adventures have scared many dragons off, and left only the most headstrong to journey with Avacathi. Rumors float around of the Ridgeback bodyslamming herself into any obstacles, allied or not, upon the first sight of treasure. The treasure hunter might not have necessarily been the best choice for Head of Expeditions. Oh well. Avacathi wasn't always such a spirited combatant- her first attempts at exploring the outside world were met with severe injuries and a dampened spirit. Despite the circumstances, the Ridgeback pushed herself further, higher. To the Arena. Yet she had lost over and over, time and time again over the months. One fateful day, in a clearly disadvantaged fight against a pack of Greatowls, Avacathi had felt something suddenly click as she slashed. Whoosh! The imposing owls, suddenly laid unconscious and soaked with water. This was the day she had awoken to her way of magic-based combat, and gained the undying adoration of one cranky Greatowl. Although serious, Avacathi is a kindhearted dragon. A watchful eye may witness the adventurer handing out local "treasure maps" for little trinkets around the Guild to excited hatchlings, and helping them along to their prizes, such as little necklaces or soft plush dolls. Avacathi's den walls are plastered in painstakingly drawn maps of the places she has been to, and desk a flurry of "borrowed" inkwells and parchments. There are scraps of parchment with hastily scribbled requests littered about received from other dragons, all but forgotten in lieu of her busy job.
