Generation 6 I am a Temporal Rifter! By their very nature, the lore for these dragons gets a little crazy. Broadly, in-universe, they are descendants of a dragon named Allison who managed to escape from a sisnister shadow organization run by aliens who can travel through spacetime. You may ask: who can travel through spacetime? The aliens, or Allison's descendants? Answer: Yes! Meta-wise, it's a lore-based way to tie a whole bunch of different fandoms together in Flight Rising: DnD, Dr. Who, Dragon Age, all sorts of anime... Anything you can think of. It gets wacky. Generation 5 I am a Celestial Runner! The innate abilities of this family include word, bone and blood magic, as well as stargazing and future predictions. There is also a bit of unknown magic from space - the mystery of how existence began included. Each hatchling has their own personality and abilities. This makes the family incredibly special and incredibly mysterious. It is not often that they share their magic and secrets, but it is passed down in the family. As a child, Pulaski was always left alone. As his mother and father travelled throughout the realms to find the farthest reaches of spacetime, Pulaski stayed home and played with his toys.

Pulaski was a very calm, caring, and patient child. He learned how to take care of himself from a young age as his parents were never around. He also liked taking care of those who could not care for themselves, especially the sick, elderly, and dying.

When he reached adulthood, Pulaski followed his uncle to a clan in the Southern Icefields.

Although he never completed the necessary schooling, Pulaski always fancied himself as a sort of doctor. He could heal the sick, take care of the elderly, and prepare the dead for the afterlife.

However, Dr. Pulaski's most important and personal patient was not sick or elderly or dead or dying. He was his uncle, Gloaming.

Unlike most of Pulaski's patients, what Gloaming has cannot be cured. Gloaming cannot feel his own emotions or connect to the emotions of others. Gloaming's lack of emotions, while useful in situations pertaining to his job as the clan's undertaker, also prevents him from taking care of himself properly, although he has gotten better over the years.

Gloaming can still get hurt, but the pain doesn't make him feel anything, so he doesn't take care of the wounds. Gloaming also tends to overwork himself because he can't feel tired. Gloaming cannot connect with the emotions of others, making other dragons believe that he is callous and uncaring, which makes making friends and finding a mate nigh impossible. There are also many other things that Gloaming can't feel.

Under the guise of becoming his apprentice as the clan's undertaker, Pulaski cares for his uncle and makes sure that he takes care of himself and his body. Although Gloaming cannot feel emotions, Pulaski likes to feel like his uncle appreciates him.

One day when Pulaski was "helping" his uncle dig a grave, they came across giant statues of a dragon breed they had never seen! When Gloaming reached out with his magic, they came to life! When Pulaski first laid his eyes on Sapph, a beautiful blue Obelisk with deep purple eyes, it was love at first sight!

The uncle and nephew brought the Obelisks to their clan and returned to the site to finish the burial.
