 Calcedonius' parents were Bloodbane of the Plague flight and Melaina of the Shadow flight. He was born in a mighty lair on the Star Wood Strand.

Calcedonius is not much like his parents at first glance, or even at second glance. Bright reds and soft pinks make him look like a sort of strawberry dessert, rather than the son of a self-proclaimed conquerer.

Named for the pink chalcedony of the Crystalspine Reaches, Calcedonius is vain to the extreme, and a complete womanizer. Charming he can be, but though he has the potential to be as crafty and resourceful as his father, he prefers to use his wiles to win himself points with the ladies. Or so he believes. Though he's attractive, most see him as rather thick-headed, and can barely tolerate him.

The one exception would be CocoCerise, and that's only because she's basically the female version of him. They have had three hatchlings together, all of whom have been exalted.

Bloodbane is ashamed to call Calcedonius his son, and most of the time pretends as if he has nothing to do with the boy. Melaina is just 100% done with her son's antics, though she still spoils him anyway.
