It takes a lot to concern Raven. He's easily the most powerful dragon in Edge-Harbor, strong enough that he doesn't consider it hyperbolic to say as much. He is a strategist and tactician, with one guard force under his command and a second one under his advisement, and he has never lost a battle. But Deephaze and the thralls have gotten him close. There is a lot of magic brewing in the wild swamp. Outside of the Outer Guard's patrol ring, Deephaze has essentially grown unchecked. Even without access to the city, she's picked off enough travelers to continue to add to herself. One of his children is out there on the front lines. Raven trusts Zaulen as a commander, but he still feels uneasy to know that Majesty is so close to the epicenter of the threat. Raven's reputation for cold, quiet power is slowly cracking. His subordinates have begun to notice his stress and concern. |

Raven is a Shadow dragon with a remarkably cold demeanor. Strategy seems to be his only priority. He considers anything not immediately relevant to be completely extraneous information. Only Taurus and Raven's children knew his softer side before this whole situation with Deephaze started coming to a head. Now his whole guard force can tell that Raven does, in fact, get stressed. All the late nights lying awake in the nest next to Taurus are starting to catch up in his performance. But he's still the strongest of them all, and Aurous's best strategist. He knows he can't take a break or let himself slip any further- there's just not enough wiggle room here. Raven's relieved at least one of his hatchlings is safe in the city proper, holed up in a workshop instead of facing the horrors out there. But everyone else he cares about is a guard, including his daughter, and that is some real pressure considering it's on him if any guards die. Lately, he's forced himself to be more rigid than ever during the day. He checks the wards and does his flying patrols with robotic precision, no matter how restlessly he slept. Cael, Countess, and Nox have to see the right side of him- the ice-cold commander with no mercy and no flaws. |
