Taurus has made a lot of mistakes. He spent so long being young and reckless that by the time he opened his eyes, his hatchlings were already full dragons and his wives wanted nothing to do with him. Two chances, both squandered. And he accepts that. He does. He knows being fun and chill doesn't make up for being gone, and he understands why they decided to leave and go no contact. He understands. But now, ironically enough, he's ready for all that settled stuff. To sit down and do hard work, to make sure there's a reliable repair shop here in Edge-Harbor. Not many dragons get to try thrice at having a family, but he guesses he can thank Raven for being his boyfriend and letting him have a third chance at parenting with Steel. Taurus respects Pyre and Millis never wanting to see him again, and he makes an effort to visit all his hatchlings when he can. But his new little family gets most of his attention... especially now that his adopted son is also his apprentice. |

Taurus is very nice. His kindness carries a heavy undercurrent of guilt- he clearly thinks he owes some kind of debt for the way he used to be. But the longer he spends settled down, the more naturally he wears his gentleness. Now it's not uncommon to see him making tinkered projects to give as random gifts, and personally providing newcomers with tours of the city. He's like a one-dragon welcoming committee. Taurus's mechanic shop serves as the only stop for technology in Edge-Harbor. Feroe handles the metalwork for his projects, but otherwise... there's not much in terms of gadgetry out here! They have to make do. Taurus has the generalized skills to pick up a wide range of projects with general competence, but Steel is a lifesaver- his specific skill in constructs means Taurus can focus on the easy things and the kid can take the really niche commissions. He retains some fighting skill from when he was young and adventurous, and his Nature magic is very combat-oriented. He was never a warrior, but cutting his way through the jungle the way he used to was never very safe. Not many would guess he can fight- but it's not like he needs it much anymore. His claws are blunted so he can hold a wrench, and most of his magic goes to keeping his potted plants from dying. Raven's the scary family protector, Taurus just repairs the den's clocks and keeps things well-decorated. |
