Yan is a god of bugs. Some say it is a collection of bugs so the creation of him is not known for sure. Either way they are here and have settled in a few different regions. As it travels it collects bugs and other creepy crawlies, constantly changing forms. So it changes to what it believes to be the best form for around dragons: a Spiral. Granted they still enjoy their personal form so he keeps the centipede look. For his current home they don't seem to mind. In fact one of the alphas, Hao, enjoys bugs and he even has found a mate who loves it for itself.

Besides being a god of bugs they also study bugs, insects, arachnids, etc. Every week they seem to find something new. If able he enjoys to add it to his personal body collection. He gets these bug additions from searching himself or even Hao when bug goes on his adventures or gathering. Neither mind and the two are very close friends because of their love for bugs. Yan very much appreciates it when they are treated like another dragon in the nest instead of a collection of bugs. That's the theory on why bug has stayed for as long as they have throughout the nest, as many of the dragons in his home treat him just like they would anybody else.
