Hermia is the Daughter of Rezar and Xenari, a child bestowed onto them by the goddess Soleil after they were unable to have children of their own. Born a demigod blessed by the goddess of mining and precious ores, Hermia has always had a keen eye for materials and craftsmanship, a skill encouraged and refined by her parents when she was young.

The ridgeback tends to shy away from any powers or abilities she received from Soleil, preferring to use a very different skillset she picked up from Rezar and Xenari instead. Hermia grew up on her father's stories and songs of past travels, and her mother's paintings of far-off lands. These inspired her to become a bard of sorts.

While Hermia's parents were travelers by nature, Hermia wanted something different in her life. She loved her parents and her travels with them, but she wanted to settle down in a place she could call home. Many years later, during a trip through the many light clans of the Sunbeam Ruins, Hermia finally found it. A place to call home.

The clan leader, Sibyl, was happy to welcome the young adult into the ranks of her clan. Her parents were sad to see her go, but happy for her nonetheless. They left her with a promise to visit often, and of even more frequent letters.

These days, Hermia is very quiet aside from when she plays her music, not wanting to draw too much attention to herself or her lineage. Very few dragons in her new clan know the story of how she was born, or about her powers
