Midas

Leader and guardian of this lair, Midas, his mate Prophecy, and heir Aureus are the only ridgebacks as of current. He is a gentle giant, but will not hesitate to strike down any threats.

Although he is incredibly careful and can mostly control it, Midas does in fact live up to his name. The gold touch, however, mostly only applies to small animals and objects. The little hedgehog Midas has, whose name, fittingly, is Aurophobia, is the only animal that has so far proven to be immune to the gold touch.

There has only been one incident of Midas’s golden power extending past its normalcy. A young imperial made of gold was summoned to the lair, claiming to have been drawn here by some unknown force. This young golden imperial is currently under wing of Doubloon, the lair’s treasurer, though Midas is still primarily keeping watch over the shining oddity.
