Originally sent away to another clan for her protection after a terrible accident happened to her older Sister, Astrid was happy in the sunlit fields. She found a new family in two wonderful, loving mates, one of whom had also come from her birth clan. However, happiness doesn't last forever...

A new threat came to the place she'd come to call home, and she rushed to help her clanmates escape, but it was to no avail. She lost both Andus and Ruscello in the massacre, and she herself only survived thanks to the quick thinking of Hermia.

Bringing them both to the clan of their birth, the young demigod got her hands on a scroll of breedchanging, using the drastic reforming magic of the scroll to not only change Astrid's breed, but heal her wounds. After that it was just up to time and the skilled healers of Zehyrus.

After she recovered and became accustomed to her new form, Astrid began seeking out her children, and their children. Any family she had left after the loss of her home. Returning to her parents helped, but she wanted to find her own children, to be close to them after the loss of her mates
