Eldest daughter of local shopkeepers. Sophie found herself the main provider for her
family after her father died. To keep the business afloat, her mother arranged a
marriage to a wealthy noble’s son. Sophie protested at first but realized that it
would be the best thing for her family. Despite it being a bit of a burden at first, she
does enjoy running the family flower shop. She’s terribly clever and stubborn but can
be a bit oblivious. She takes her responsibilities seriously and doesn’t like to be the
center of attention as she doesn’t consider herself to be anything special.

While she and Howl were both committed to making things work, neither were super
happy about it at first. After they got through their initial period of annoyance, they
discovered that they are more alike than expected, with a shared interest in magic,
sharp wit, and soft heart. They’re currently coming to terms with the fact that they’re
quickly falling for each other, and living together above the flower shop. She runs the
business, Howl pays the rent, and they make a surprisingly good team.
