Ashani hatched while she still slept, not realizing that her life had begun until a cool wind swept through her fur and caused her to wake. The first thing she saw, oddly enough, was a pale crescent moon. She shakily followed the moon until the sun rose, then chased the brilliant star to see where it had taken the moon.
Only when the sun vanished and the moon's glow surrounded her again did Ashani collapse into a tired bundle; she did not understand, then (though she does now!), that the two celestial bodies danced eternally with the world. In her dreams, though, both sun and moon wrapped her in a warm embrace the likes of which she had not felt before.
That dreaming-place became her home, the founding-place of the Skychaser clan.

Since her own birth, Ashani has begun to show different genes than the ones she was born with; whether this is because of the latent Arcane energy within her, or because of her own adaptations for surviving and guarding her clan, is unknown. Her winter coat shed away to reveal deep navy eyespots, and, more recently, some of her scales have grown out and into spiny protrusions.

Depending upon what is happening, Ashani is either a very lenient grandmotherish dragon or the scariest thing to walk the earth. Her spines aid in guarding her family, while her magic is a force in and of itself to be reckoned with. 		tumblr_inline_nll488S7sN1qg2i5p_400.png
