Laiska was born in the depths of a Cairn in Dragonhome, to the clan Founders, Ashani and Metalu. When she was able to understand why, she was told that her home had been found, and that she would trade places with a small fae from a Wind clan. She would be their Ambassador, much as her brother would be an ambassador to a Shadow clan and her youngest sister would be one to a Light clan. During the trade, she met the tiny fae whom she would be trading places with, who greeted her with a tiny squeak.
Now settled comfortably in a small cave that she obtained permission to build, Laiska is learning the ways of Clan Gale-Cove and is trying to discover if her crystal-spinning (something she learned and perfected from her mother) will be of any value to her new clan-mates.
Laiska will take any crystals given to her, and (by earth magic or some trace of her Arcane heritage, no-one knows) spin them into delicate dreamcatcher-like objects. Most of them, she gives to be sold in the Cloudsong, but if someone begins having severe night-terrors, she will give them one. It has been found that one's dreams become hazy and unremarkable when such a catcher is hung above one's nest.
