Relfaadrii has proven to be a loving mother to the clan's babies. She's forgiving although she can be very strict at times, and she likes to snuggle close to the other clan members at night to spend warmth. Midonik helps her keep arguments amongst the other clan members at bay and contributes to a peaceful and friendly environment. The two of them frequently host tea parties to strengthen the clan members' solidarity. Relfaadrii is in charge of the Nesting Grounds. She decides who's allowed to lay eggs and who isn't, so the dragons in the clan don't fight over the nests, as there is only a limited amount. She also makes sure the clan is not overpopulated. She knew it. There had been something in the air ever since the new year had started. Something that crept closer with each passing day, with each dragon that went to sleep only to never wake again. They weren't dead, no, Relfaadrii could hear Saviik breathe and saw his chest rise and fall evenly. He was alive and well, just slumbering. And so were other dragons in the Order. The curious thing was: It only affected the males. And soon there was a shift, a shift in how the other females saw Relfaadrii. She was no longer one of the leaders. She was the Mother. The Matriarch. Relfaadrii stared in disbelief at the little fluffball that emerged from what clearly had been a normal dragon egg. Its hair was all over the place, it had small horns and a long, fuzzy tail. Moreover, Relfaadrii could clearly identify the hatchling as male. "But that can't be", she muttered. "All males are asleep..." This one, however, wasn't. She looked around, and when nobody saw, she tucked the fluffy thing under her coat and went off to the Monastery. |
