As beloved matriarch and co-leader, Marva is tasked with handling the clan’s finances and diplomacy. This level-headed Imperial is all about responsibility, clarity, and mutuality. She has the uncanny ability to remain calm in difficult situations. In conflict, she can easily see where every dragon is coming from. This serves her well as she seeks to improve the clan’s relationship with outsiders. Marva believes it is her duty to ensure that her clan has enough resources to live prosperously and generatively. She wishes to bring every dragon joy and contentment as well as safety and security. She knows that the only way to achieve this is for everyone to work together. Thus, as part of her leadership role, she often seeks counsel and collaboration from others. It’s vital for everyone in the clan to be on the same page as they move towards a better future.

Marva knows that there is a lot to learn from other clans across Sornieth. She often goes on diplomatic visiting missions, traveling from lair to lair with generous gifts. She gathers news and information from other Flights, bringing their wisdoms back home and incorporating their knowledge into her praxis. Her love for literature drives her to document her travels in elaborate treatises. These tales unveil her journeys in the utmost detail and are treasures within the clan library. They document every connection she was able to make, the strange creatures and plants she was able to see, and the habits of dragons from far and wide. It’s exciting to learn about distant cultures. If mutual exchange and interdependence are equated to wealth, Marva is the richest dragon of all.

This prolific writer engages in many types of literary expeditions. From high fantasy to historical biographies, she’s read (and written) it all. She enjoys experimenting with different writing styles. Her pirouettes through diction and syntactical acrobatics are undeniably impressive. Her favorite genre is historical fiction. She believes that within the annals of history are golden kernels of knowledge that must be shared with the world. If she can make a historical account more accessible and exciting, then other dragons will be able to learn from it. Literature is an art form in and of itself, which means she often finds herself collaborating with Mocha. The two of them create beautiful paragraphs of clan lore, each of them adding their own elegant flair. Many dragons aspire to write like Marva. She is a literary inspiration.

Marva’s heart is occupied by literature and diplomacy, but it’s also kept by her mate, Danisa. Because of her orange coloring, Marva calls Danisa her ‘Sunrise Hibiscus.’ The two of them spend most of their time exchanging poetry and prose, collecting flowers in vast meadows, and chasing after Nero to make sure he doesn’t explode his lair. They act as mentors for both Mocha and Nero– Marva more than Danisa, but Danisa by extension since they’re always together. Their love for one another anchors their love for the clan. This is an eternal bond that will never be broken.
