Art comes from passion, and passion comes from hardship. This dynamic is clearly embodied in Mocha, a creative with a harrowing past. Whatever happened to him before, however, will not impact the present. This dragon is a source of compassion and altruism. He always sees the best in others, uplifting them to their true potential. Imbued with the flowing energies of the Wind Flight, he floats with a calm, carefree attitude. He maintains peace in his relationship with others and within himself. Like a leaf tossed to and fro by a casual breeze, Mocha understands that he cannot control where life takes him. He only has power over his own actions and his ability to offer guidance to others. As clan leader, he operates with empathy, wisdom, and tranquility. These qualities render him supremely effective, and are the cause of much gratitude from his clan. Adored by all, he shepherds the other dragons with love in his heart. His clanmates are his kin and he would never allow any harm to come to them.

From poetry to sculpture to theater, this gentle Imperial is a true creative. He’s multi-talented and multi-faceted, easily switching from one art form to the next the same way bamboo sways in the wind. One minute he’s performing a soliloquy, the next he’s writing a sonnet. He’ll occasionally have showcases where he displays his art to the rest of the clan. This is always a supremely exciting time for every dragon. Mocha brings such beauty into the world, and his clanmates feel fortunate to witness it. His favorite art form is painting. He believes that the true essence of the world can be captured by colors on a canvas. His claws are often covered in paint. It’s quite endearing. He’ll even find brushes tucked behind his ear from time to time. His favorite portrait is of Nero and Marva laughing together. He has it proudly displayed in his lair. It truly shows how much he loves them.

Mocha sees himself as Nero’s levelheaded older brother. He’s definitely a lot more calm than Nero. Where the scientist possesses intelligence, the artist possesses wisdom. Mocha keeps his younger counterpart out of trouble. He teaches him how to communicate better with other dragons and how to appreciate things he cannot quantify. In turn, Nero helps Mocha with queries based in logic. The two of them balance each other out quite nicely. Though Mocha is viewed as clan leader, he often turns to Marva for advice. Marva and Mocha collaborate to govern their clanmates with kindness and generosity. They’re an excellent team, dissolving disputes, assisting with resource distribution, and ensuring that every dragon feels comfortable. Mocha feels so fortunate to have such a caring family to help him along. All the treasure in the world could never amount to the riches of unfettered kinship.
