.. The first hatchling raised by Clan Mirage was not the first one hatched to its members. Dulcet was something of a welcome gift and trinket of alliance from another clan living in Fire territory - but only living, apparently, a contingent of Plague dragons displaced but not loyal to the Flamecaller.

When Clan Mirage began to dissolve, there was no question of Dulcet's loyalties - he, Achenar, and Spinel were inseparable, a three-dragon band of mates and fellow scouts. Their frequent contact with the dragons of Blackfort-Hilltop gave them an opportunity in Fletcher's departure, and they now travel alongside the diplomat.

Dulcet, as a hatchling, was as soft as his name. His kindness is still the first thing that goes noticed, but there's not a naive bone in his body.

His sense of humor is darker and more cutting than anyone ever expects.

Between the three scouts, Dulcet is by far the best parent, enamored of children and attuned to their wants and needs. He's the primary caretaker of their hatchlings.

He loves fiction, and loves crossing paths with Wind dragons, as they often know stories he's never heard before.
