She's a teacher, but not for magic or alchemy or professional edgelording or anything. For math. After all, just because you live in a world where you can alter reality based on the will of your soul and where your vibes are a force that can actively warp your body itself doesn't mean that learning problem-solving skills isn't important. Despite the Light Flight's focus on knowledge, there's not really that much of a movement towards general education outside of Light Flight history and culture and whatever a dragon intends to study for the field they go into, whether that's magic, alchemy, blacksmithing, or archaeology.

Starrybones intends to change that, starting with the Hewn Suburbs. Once she finds other teachers familiar with disciplines concerning a basic knowledge of life on Sornieth, she intends to approach the council and request funding for the Hewn Suburbs' first and only school. That, if anything, is going to be the easy part. Convincing a settlement of teenage edgelords to go to school is another matter.
