» Childhood Friend - Mud
Hank and Mud are best buds, two peas in a pod, bros for life! He used to be a bit of a crybaby, and they'd always cheer him up. Hank often forgets to take care of his own needs, and Mud's usually the one to remind him to sleep and eat; he's very grateful for that, and cherishes the oppurtunity to help out Mud when they need it too. He's known them for so long, they're basically family at this point.

» Mom Friend - Dana
Hank looks up to Dana much like Mud does, and often asks her to review whatever he's working on. She likes being relied on and respected, so she always gives her best constructive criticism. Hank's usually a very cuddly friend, but quickly learned Dana wasn't someone to cuddle after trying to hug her on one occasion, and finding himself pushed to the ground on reflex. Since Hank regularly drinks his respecting women juice, he hasn't invaded her personal space since. It did take some coaxing for him to stop looking at her like a kicked puppy after that incident, though. Dana also comes to hank whenever she needs to vent or destress, as he's a very good listener, and is perfectly happy to sit and listen to her complain while he brushes a familiar's fur.

» Adoptive daughter - Sardine
Hank found Sardine as a lone hatchling out in Singer's Brook, and ended up bringing her home instead of the food he was sent out to gather. Nobody in the lair (at the time it was just Mud, Dana and him) knew what to do with a child, so whilst Mud and Dana asked around and tried to find the mystery hatchling's parents, Hank was tasked with taking care of her.(Hatchlings were, they reasoned, basically just familiars that grew up into dragons.) When the search for her parents came up empty, Hank asked if she could just be a new member of the clan, as he'd grown quite fond of this energetic and curious youngling. He'd even given her a nickname: Sardine, because he often found her playing in the rivers near the lair, trying to make friends with the fish. Since then, Sardine's grown up quite well, though she still goes to Hank whenever she's in need of comfort.

» New Friend! - Saoirse
Hank was the first one that Soairse seemed to like-or even tolerate- when she came to the lair. It probably helped that he'd heard her name said aloud before he saw it written down, so he didn't accidentally say it wrong when he first greeted her. She also seemed to like how soft-spoken he was, and how she didn't feel she had to "prove her strength" when she was with him. He's very good at calming her down whenever she and Dana clash, and Soairse can often be seen using Hank as a pillow to relax on whenever she's having a bad day.
