Oralie was born into a lightning clan, but felt compelled by her very nature to migrate to her ancestral homeland. Though she much enjoyed the industry of the Lightning flight, the call of her species and the traces of Fire in her bloodline was strong. So it was that as a young lady, she left her home on amenable terms and flew to the Ashfall Wastes, where she (quite literally) bumped into a patrol and was invited to rest among the clan, a situation which eventually turned into a permanent residence.
Oralie is a prissy miss. She tries to keep herself as clean as possible, up to and including polishing her gembond daily. She likes to dress up and decks herself out whenever possible. Her manner of speech is prim, proper, and polite. Even when she's thinking lowly of someone, you would never know it by the way she speaks to them. Despite all this, she has no qualms getting dirty when she needs to. She's excellent at wiring the lighting in the caves, which is often a dirty or possibly singe-inducing business. When she gets an idea in her head for a potential tool or invention, she will stop at nothing to create it. Unlike Caspian, who refuses to so much as set a single toe into the muck, she knows there is a time and place for fussing over one's appearance; after all, dirt and ash wash off, and with the proper self-care it's as if it never happened. She's rather fond of the technology in the Golem Workshop, and often has the strongest dragons escort her there so she can examine and scavenge materials. Lelani, the electrician whose direction she works under, she is not sure what to make of; she finds her a little too bossy. She is very fond of her mate, Feliz, whose somewhat eccentric behavior she finds endearing. She likes to give him gifts of shiny things on occasion. Secretly, she keeps her gems so well-kept just for him. |
