ASPERGILLUS

The Rotting Sage • He/him
strangefleshaspergillusgarden.png
33047.png >A nature sage, cursed by plague, his bones showing through his skin. He sits, ruling over the city with a smiley grin. He is one of the first dragons to join the clan, after his body was ravaged by the plague-spell that rotted his skin and bones. He is fierce yet wise, and he watches over the clan with a cool, collected eye. His scales glow a pale golden with his age, and his eyes are bright and kindly.

>Aspergillus coughed and sputtered on the ground. He could feel his body losing cohesion, his bones snapping and skin melting, and curling off. He tried to scream but could only manage a gurgling noise, the words he mouthed turning into something unrecognizable, some kind of animal howl. The battle raged around him, but he couldn't help. The plague-spell that had hit him was killing him, fast. He tried to stand, but his knees couldn't lift his body fast bloating with fluid, his joints cracking. He pull himself off the ground and managed to stand, staring out at the battle around him. Aspergillus could see how pointless it all was now. Those he'd fought beside had been reduced to skeletons, with patches of moldy skin over their frames. Their blackened bones might as well have been his own. The ground was slippery with blood. Aspergillus began to walk away from the battle as fast as he could, walking faster and faster as his joints screamed and his lungs filled with fluid.
The pain was unbearable, but he had to survive.
The plague magic faded from his skin, and Aspergillus realized that he was alive. The spell had been broken, and he was still alive.
He forced himself to breathe deeply, to keep calm.
