Biography

Pearl Diver

Like many dragons of her element, Fionnaghal is a diviner. While Pearlcatchers believe that their past is contained in their pearl, this sunset-colored seer believes that examination of the pearl's patterns can lead to insight into the present and the future. Given the accuracy of her predictions when she performs scrying and far-seeing magics with her pearl as a focus, she may be on to something.

When she isn't reading the patterns of the world, Fionnaghal can most often be found wherever there is water. She loves to spend her days submerged, or at least semi-submerged; salt water, fresh water, it doesn't matter to her. Calm and cheerful, she seems to spend her days unruffled by much of anything, happily dipping and diving among rocks and sand. She grazes on seaweed and other aquatic plants whenever she finds herself peckish, and despite not being a fish-eater herself, she is the lair's premier seafood-locator. She often flushes various aquatic delicacies toward other dragons waiting on the surface, or pops up after a long time submerged with a bag full of shellfish.

It can be hard to get her to produce anything on any sort of schedule, though... While her head is most often underwater, her thoughts are usually in the clouds. If you need something from her on any sort of schedule, it's best to talk with one of her (more grounded) mates. Polyandrous, flighty Fionnaghal maintains relationships with a number of male dragons in the clan, including Gemini and Lagoon. Some members of her reverse harem can often be found sprawled relaxing on the shores of whatever body of water their sunny seer happens to be inhabiting at the moment.

Fionnaghal is a lover of stories and tales of distant places, so she can often be lured from her aquatic sanctum with a promise of a good story. Be careful, though; like many Pearlcatchers, she loves gossip, so you may be stuck telling more tales and answering more questions than you initially bargained for!
