Kisshoten
Meritorious Luck

The first of Luck’s triplet daughters to emerge from the nest, Kisshoten uses the gifts bestowed upon her by her father to grant the wishes of mortals. Her blessings, however, do not come easily, and she puts any mortal seeking her gifts through a rigorous gauntlet of trials to determine their worth, beginning with navigating the treacherous mountain range she calls home to arrive in her shrine. The mountains are bleak and rugged and populated with ferocious beasts that will deter all but the stoutest of heart; but the rewards waiting in Kisshoten’s shrine at the end of the path are said to be well worth the journey.

The shrine of Kisshoten is full of heady incense and heavy drapes -- elegant, though not ostentatious -- a clear reflection of the power she wields and a sampling of the gifts she may bestow upon any mortal that manages to overcome her tests. The Trials of Kisshoten are tailored to each mortal that enters her shrine; the bigger the mortal’s wish, the more difficult their trial is said to be, but if a mortal is found worthy of Kisshoten’s blessing, she grants them her boon and tips the scales of fate in their favor, changing their destiny forever.
