  • twin brother of Artemis, he was born a wealthy noble with an allegiance to his father's light element despite being a shadow born dragon
  • his whole life, he was closer to his father- who later passed away- than his mother
  • he and his sister were watching a sunrise one morning when they were jumped by a band of thieves who demanded they give up their valuable golden jewelry- gifted to them by their late father
  • Artemis did as she was asked, but Apollo refused, and Artemis stepped between him and the thieves to protect him
  • realizing that his sister getting wounded would be his fault, Apollo jumped back into the fight and was badly wounded
  • the twins were rescued by Vesper, but Apollo's once brilliant feathers were marred by heavy scars
  • he became a writer and poet, always the artistic one between the siblings


Apollo's Lament

“It all reminds me of a day and a past I couldn’t hide
It all hurts my mind and drives me to decide
Not to acknowledge all the scars or tell the story
Of some blind hero, out for blood and out for glory.

I wasn’t really a hero, but that title sounds sublime
Maybe if I were something special, they’d remind me of a time
When I was brave and bold and strong
When I hadn’t yet seen the truth that I was wrong

The scars that litter my flesh and bone
Resent them I do, though the fault is my own.
Though a brilliant plumage do they mar
It is my past, my own internal scar

A foolish decision shapes a fate
A hunger for glory and respect I couldn’t satiate
A day so overblown in every nightmare
All because I wouldn’t forfeit a prize so rare

Memories confined within that gold
The spirit of loved ones passed did it hold.
Forgive me if I couldn’t surrender their ghost
Even when it jeopardized the one I love most.

I made one mistake and I paid the price
Lost the visage of light when fate rolled its dice
And now though I sing and I dance and I write
My conscience is clouded in an endless sea…
Of night.”
