Biography

Daggersdrawn is the protector and defender of the Remaining. Though not as well-versed in battle as either his mate, Monarch, or the clan matriarch, Radia, he possesses no mean skill in keeping a territory safe, using almost anything at his disposal. Much of his time is spent patrolling, often with any of the day's volunteer familiars at his side. The more clever ones learn through observation; the mere beasts provide extra protection, and the process is a chance to expose both to new stimuli while ensuring their loyalty and safety.

Like all Mirrors, Daggersdrawn has a vicious streak. His is tempered by both Monarch and Amarone, his one-time mate in a match made more for convenience than compatibility. He is now lifebound to Monarch, in a much happier arrangement for all three of them. Unlike many other Mirrors, however, Daggersdrawn is also driven deeply by devotion, and often is content to simply let Monarch make whatever decision is on the table in his stead. He speaks only when he must, and wears a bit along with his harness in deference to the fact.

The harness itself is multipurposed. When Daggersdrawn patrols, he will tie small bags and pouches along the lines, so that he can carry along anything interesting or useful he picks up. Similarly, Monarch and sometimes Amarone perch on Daggersdrawn, and use the leather straps to grip and steady themselves without hurting him.

Lastly, Daggersdrawn himself enjoys the sensation of his jesses. To him, they are a calming reminder that he is trusted by and can trust in someone else, and that in turn lets him put his guard down around his found family, while knowing he can fight for them should the need arise.
