Biography
"There are no winners of war, only survivors and even they die inside from guilt. They only physically survive to warn us. To warn us that there is nothing more terrible than what they have done."
- into science and research - used to like to blow up things, very strongly a pacifist now - The "Rogue" if you will but that's a bit of a stretch, could theoretically be mage but her magic (while strong) is nowhere near Eileen's - Very cynical, very critical, but does have a sense of humour - Usually quite sarcastic unless a) impressed, b) shocked, c) in a good mood (in which case she'll tease) d) it's a formal situation, or e) extremely p*ssed - If she's feeling awake enough, either quite patient or has an extremely short fuse - Can be very blunt when expressing opinions - Also a nerdy bookworm, but if cornered she'll try to find her way out - However is very capable of holding her own in a verbal debate - Has two modes, extremely tired and extremely focused - loooooves her jacket (adjudicator overcoat), brings it everywhere, went bat sh*t crazy once when Aurealis accidentally tore a small hole in it - surprisingly loves plushies too - Struck up a friendship with Nenia over being vampires - The three of them somehow angered an entire vampire clan, and Aurealis fought them off. One of them managed to successfully wound her, though it wasn't serious. She's too pacifistic to actually go bite people, plus she's extremely adverse to the idea, so she just gets blood bags from the medical ward. - As a prank, Dawn Jr had swapped one of the blood bags with fake blood (made of Butcher's Fig juice, corn flour, and food colouring), and Amalia had taken one thirsty gulp before spitting the foul-tasting concoction out onto Aurealis’ immaculate clothes. What happened after was incredibly chaotic and Dawn Jr had laughed her head off the whole time. |

Amalia likes to slink around and hover on the outskirts of whatever her siblings are doing if she can help it, keeping tabs on them at all times. She is technically the youngest, so she learns from their mistakes, making her quite critical of everything they do. However, she can be seen as rather boring because of it. She's not as willing to try new things because she "saw <sibling> try it once, and it didn't look fun."
She sticks to ventures of the mind, convinced it's the only good option after seeing what her siblings do, and is driven to be the mentally strongest of the three.
While she used to be rather intrigued by battle-tactics and war, and loved to blow things up for fun, she saw her brother fight a beast once, and the sight of watching him actually win was jarring (a fear of blood perhaps, or the suffering beforehand?) and her morals and interests did a complete 180 at that point.
She does get along with Eileen when she's not being totally stuck-up about political ventures, and sometimes they discuss how battles could've been avoided with discussion and bartering to make them stronger for the future.

The mugs wrote:
"Happy birthday," Dawn Ellen Blazelight brightly greeted her favourite niece (then again, she only had two), and wheeled in a shopping cart full of boxes. "Anyway, I was noticing that the communal lab kitchen lacked mugs, so I got some for y'all, more than enough to go around."
Sceptically, Amalia lifted the topmost one from the stack and opened it, finding six mugs inside before setting them onto the nearest table. They were actually legit. No pranks, no assassination attemps, no magic other than spells to make sure they could withstand heat changes and dropping. Huh. That was unusual enough for the local crazy princess, alright, so that meant she was sincere.
Then she noticed the text on them.
“Administratium, the heaviest element in the world,” Amalia read, “Bureaucratium, the element with a negative half-life, Unobtanium, like your love life, Phlebotinum, which can conveniently do anything you want it to, the element of Surprise, owned by the Panish Inquisition, and Moronium, the third certainty in life.”
She then let out a very unprincess-like snicker, causing her coworkers to gather around before she turned a mug around. “Administratium has an atomic number of 0. However, it does have one neutron, 125 assistant neutrons, 75 vice neutrons and 111 assistant vice neutrons, which gives it an atomic mass of 312. These particles are held together by a force that involves the continuous exchange of meson-like particles called morons. Why does bureaucratium have a negative half-life anyway?”
“Because its mass keeps increasing to become more sluggish,” her eldest aunt supplied. "The moronium one says... ah, there we go. The three certainties, death, taxes, and being besieged by the general stupidity of the populace. Regina contributed Unobtanium and Polaris suggested Moronium. Right, how’s progress on countering Shade magic?”
"We need phlebotinum," Amalia grumbled her previous amusement gone, "something that can counter Shade magic. Didn't you have magic-absorbing crystals?"
"Yes, but ultimately we sent those crystals to the Gaolers. So... if we could destroy Shade magic...? I asked the Gaolers, but they said it's impossible. Naturally, I'm going to make it possible."
