______ Achilles, like her namesake, is a warrior. She has made her home in the clan's arena, learning under their best gladiators. She puts her Ichor born abilities to use, making her top dog within the female gladiator circuit. Her grandfather may not agree with her decision, wanting his family out of conflict, but Achilles could never sit still with the fire in her veins demanding she let it out. What did he expect from the great granddaughter of the head of the CI order? When her pelt changed from that of Ichor to a Carnage, she left for the prison to register herself, and potentially get a chance to see the rest of the wastes.

She paused her cleaning of her pelt to look over at the speaker. She was hardly surprised to see one of her teachers.

"Thank you Whiskey. I wouldn't have done so well without your teachings."

The wildclaw laughed slightly.

"I disagree. You've always had a talent for combat, so don't sell yourself short Achi. It's a disservice to yourself."

"Whatever you say teacher. But still, thank you for your praise. I hope it was enough to secure the broodmother and Shiva their alliance."

"More than. The leaders were tripping over themselves to sign a trade agreement."

The wildclaw smirked at his student, amusement clear as day. Patting her shoulder he turned to leave.

"Either Way, excellent work kid. Keep it up."

He left, leaving her to bask in the praise and clean herself up.

______ Time stamp: Achilles' young adult years as a C-I warden:

______ Achilles nervously clicked her claws on the floor as she stood next to Oculus. The older warden shot her a comforting smile, which she returned weakly. Since her coat had changed to the deep solid red of a C-I, Oculus had done nothing but help her, going so far as encouraging her to take the warden tests. And here she was. A full fledged warden.

She wasn't nervous for what would be her first official meeting, no, she was nervous for who would be there. Kairos, the head of the entire C-I order, and her great grandfather. Ever since she was a young hatchling she had wanted to meet him, even if her being born a standard would make that difficult. So she learned as much as she could about combat, honing an already impressive talent for it into a deadly force.

She had wanted to impress him, even if that meant getting placed on a most wanted list, or killed. But her time in the pit had made her coat darken to the point she became Carnage, and she pounced on the chance to abandon the lair of Malady's Edge and join a prison. The original plan she had was to get promoted to Overseer and transfer to a different prison once the scent of the network wore off. But that was derailed by her being placed as a guardian and encouraged to take the tests.

She had passed, spent time learning how to run a prison with Oculus before officially taking up her mantle of Warden. It hadn't occurred to her until she entered her great grandfather's prison for the meeting that she'd actually be meeting him. So smoothing her ruffled fur she straightened up, putting on the aura of confidence like she was taught, and prepared to meet her grandfather.

Achilles just hoped he'd be impressed enough with her to acknowledge her as one of his descendants. The little hatchling inside her was hopeful, optimistic, while the old pit fighter was doubtful. And only once she entered that door would one of them be proven right.

So she took a deep breath, steeled herself and pushed open the door. Time to greet the dragon that unknowingly influenced her life greatly.
