Biography
This absolute madman went on an unannounced vacation. Bless you for sending him home. <3
Rival wasn’t particularly social, all things considered. He straddled the line between the physical and ethereal and, more often than not, preferred simply to just… not exist where others could see him.
So, naturally, it took the clan some time to realize he was missing in the first place. Nearly an entire week, though no one but he knew the exact moment he left.
Just one moment he was there, a specter in the lair, and the next he was gone. Traveling. Off to see the world. Nothing but the grin on his face and the hope that he could slip back in before he was missed.
Unfortunately, Rival had miscalculated the time it would take for him to walk there and back, and missed several important meetings back home. That one of them was his nest’s hatch-date did not go unnoticed by Permafrost, his intimidating mate. The cerberus coo’d at the hatchling, turned to where her mate was supposed to be, and paused. One head tilted to peer into the ethereal, one turned to sniff the air, and the third snapped South. All three growled, worry and dread filling their soul. Rival was not one to ignore the hatchings.
They brought it up to the Elders immediately and the clan was in an uproar. How had they not noticed? One of their own, gone. Vanished into thin air. They mobilized, trackers following faint trails and fainter hope until, impossibly, he was found.
Sheepish and unaware of the absolute panic that was happening at home, Rival assured the scouts that he was, in fact, fine. Simply traveling for a bit. No big deal. Surely he’d left a note?
Needless to say the entire clan is doing their best to keep a better eye on their residential spirit-turned-escape-artist. Although none more closely than Permafrost; at least one of her heads keeps him fixed in a glare at all times.
Which he deserves, he's the first to admit. He’d forgotten to leave a note.
