B I O G R A P H Y

Cholla comes from elsewhere in nature, and arrived in Magnolia when she was still quite young; she spent her first few months with the clan among the younger hatchlings in Jim's care. Her rebellious and adventurous nature soon got her in trouble, however, and on one of her jaunts away from the clan nests she got terribly lost. She was eventually found, huddled up and scared half to death, by Poteet. The kindly old lady took Cholla in, though not before scolding Jim on losing his oldest charge.

Cholla became enamored of her new guardian, and instantly volunteered to help her on her farm. She's now an unstoppable weed shredder and devourer of pest bugs, and has yet to meet a worthy challenger to her claim of being the best weed hunter in a hundred miles. When she's not working, she often visits her friends Jasmine and Siofra to chat about the latest gossip.

B I O G R A P H Y

Cholla is peppy and very friendly to most people, but is sometimes jealous of Poteet's attention - a possible factor in her tendency to prank her fellow farmhands, the brothers Barda and Baxter. She can get downright bratty when she doesn't get what she wants, and is terribly creative when it comes to securing her revenge. But she's kind when it counts, and is usually good at knowing when not to go to far, if only because she knows Poteet would be disappointed in her if she did. She gets along better with Barda than his brother, and sometimes likes to quietly lounge with him while he tries to read.
