Biography
Widow was born on the first dark hour at the birth of a new year. She was born of a trickster who fooled a god and a healer who became a host to harm. Her parents bore two eggs, twins, of which she is one and her brother Worm is the other. Her parents' legacy ensured she would be a special dragon, but someone decided to help her along, just to make sure. The spectre who possess her mother's body performed experiments and magic on her while she was still and egg. The only reason her brother was spared from the same fate was that their mother was able to take back control of her body before the spectre could harm the other egg. As a result of the spectre's actions, Widow hatched small, weak, and unable to fly on her own. However, her eyes had been affected most. They had mutated into something almost insect-like, faceted, and they were beyond any use. Widow was blind. Or so they all thought. While it was true that Widow couldn't see the world, she could see something more impressive. She could see truth. She knew when others were truthful, their words shining through her world of darkness. And she was never wrong. This made Widow valuable to others and many came from far and wide to seek her advice. But Widow didn't trust many; she had not met anyone who was completely truthful. The only one she trusted or stayed close to was her brother, who has never spoken a lie. When he speaks at all. He grew up by her side, helping and protecting the weak fae. He protects her now still, never leaving and always looking for those who would mean her harm. Now the two travel the world, going where Widow's sight is needed or requested.[/color] But the world can be a dangerous place, especially for one who cannot see it. Perhaps one day fate will separate Widow from Worm or perhaps she may find a place to stay. Only the future knows what is in store and that is one thing she cannot see.
