Necrosis

Was a bartender before she died. The owner had gotten mixed into bad business, and had decided to claim that Necrosis - then known as Rosemary - was the actual owner and he was only a front to keep debtors off her back. When he double crossed his dangerous partners, they struck out and attacked Necrosis at her own home.

Knowing what her boss had done to her to save his own hide, she died furious. That fury brought her back. Stiff and cold now, and her lungs no longer filled with air and she didn't have need of food or drink, but she was back and hungry for revenge. Hatred for her boss and her killers kept her from falling apart.

And so, Necrosis went back to the bar, where she confronted her old boss. After forcing him to admit what he had done to her and that the guilt had been killing him, the mirror had felt frozen. His death wouldn't reverse her own, but it had been what had motivated her. To walk away after he had confessed would be to die all over again. Conflicted, she'd locked her boss into the club basement and shut the bar down. She had needed to think about her next move.

Even with her boss locked away, there were still her killers to worry about. If they learned that she wasn't dead, or that they had been deceived by her boss, they would return to finish the job. Necrosis knew she couldn't stay; even if there was no one to worry about, she had died and came back. Once her clan's guards got word, they would drive her out. Undead were not welcome.

Well...if she had to leave anyway, why leave quietly?

Necrosis boarded up the bar basement, then set fire to the building before fleeing to the hills just outside of the lair. She watched the building burn throughout the night. Once the sun rose, she left her clan behind.

Weeks later, she met a wandering tundra, who she learned was undead as well. Anemia had told her that she was from the clan of Misfortune, that she had once been a warden and was now a guard of prisoners for the large, well established clan. Necrosis couldn't believe such a clan welcomed the undead; until Anemia told her about Cancer and the branch of the clan dedicated to the undead.

Necrosis followed Anemia home, and the two have been together since - and Necrosis even opened a bar, ironically named the "Burning Tavern" in honor of her past.
