••"Dabi! Dabi, wake up!" Keigo was the first of the couple to wake to their two eggs' slight rustling, the start of their hatching. It was at an hour most would be resting, but the carmine-winged Skydancer had been eager for this. His companion wasn't long to wake once he, too, understood what it was his mate had awoken him for, the two now wholly focused upon their nest. ••This was the day both Kouten and his first brother hatched. ••Kouten, much like his courier father, enjoys taking flight, the feeling of the wind in his feathers soothing him as he soars above Sornieth. While his flights with his fathers had the clan leaders considering him for becoming a courier, the clan's main oracle spoke to them of Kouten's other possible role to the clan: a traveler. ••The clan had never had a member take on such a role. Plenty of the hatchlings had been sent out to other clans through agreements, or sent off, once grown and trained, to one of the eleven deities to serve them, but they were not travelers of the sort that Gin spoke of. Both parents were reluctant, but Kouten seemed to want to see more beyond the clan's underwater haven, even sneaking himself off with clan mates who left to the water's surface. The role of a courier would allow him to venture to other territories, but not to linger and explore as he seemed to want to do. ••"Just so long as they don't leave azurescales out for him," Dabi spoke with clear amusement. That, to Keigo's displeasure, was something Kouten had gotten into during one of his curious poking arounds of the lair, staining himself blue in the process.

Please try to return him home to his parents after at most every five new lairs visited so that they can make sure his bio can be updated, tidied, and on-track. Feel free to change his genes, scatter his colors, make him art, write a little bit of lore under "Travel Notes" about his visit to your lair, even give him a nest while he's over! None of this is required, but all of it is perfectly fine to do. Please keep his name the same, however, and please do not edit his bio except for putting his visit to your lair's contributions under "Travel Notes". To type under "Travel Notes", simply go to the very bottom of his bio when editing it. At the very least, if Kouten visits your lair, please at least put your username, a link to your lair or your ID, and your flight when he visited so that he can have a more complete log at least of how well he has been doing thus far in accomplishing his travel goals and whose lairs he has been to thus far.
