Biography

||The Crystal Attendant||

In the Starfall Isles you’re never too far away from a huge chunk of pink crystal, so no one tends to bat an eyelid when it’s around. The strays have come to use a small crystal maze to hide the mouth of the lair and within it lies Tyra. You will typically find her in her resting form, though the pose she takes seems far from restful. Raised up on her hind legs in her front paws she clutches a great banner baring the arcane symbol, it’s an impressive sight to behold and unknowing dragons can easily mistake her for a statue or not even notice her in finer detail till it’s too late. Rarely needing to attack anyone so far she is more of a doorman, she greets dragons returning from gathering, trips or any other business. She is regularly informed via mental connection who to expect coming in and out of the den, or indeed if there is someone she needs to prevent coming in. The All-Mother, so in touch with the land, can frequently detect those who shouldn’t be there before even the day or night watch. However, most of the time she knows they can handle it. But she might give Tyra a little nudge just in case.

When it comes to preventing entry, Tyra will take her resting form right in the way of the entrance. Wings spread, blocking a large majority of the way in. Her greatest tactic is launching herself upon an intruder before reverting back to resting form, trapping the interloper in her crystalline grip. It won’t be long before more dragons will descend upon them. It’s affectionately referred to as the bear hug trap. Thankfully it’s rarely been needed, but there have been a handful of Veilspun dragons have tried their hands at sneaking in, their small frames slipping past most of the other patrols. Though the bear hug isn’t really needed here, it’s more just grabbing them and trying not to crush them in the process. However returning to resting form often saves her from being hypnotised. Maxwell delights in getting the call a Veilspun has been captured.

Exalting Tyra to the service of the Arcanist will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
