Navare

Leena padded back to the nesting grounds. She hummed lightly, a bit of bounce in her step. She passed by multiple of her clan members. Weaving around a patch of tall reeds, Leena's tufted tail swished from side to side with the wind. She let the air push back the fluffy fur atop her head.
The wind then blew particularly hard, carrying the scent of another dragon. But this dragon was obviously not from her clan. The scent of rotting flesh met her nostrils and she cringed. But the place it was coming from was very concerning. The nesting grounds.
Leena dashed to the nests with surprising speed. She began baring her teeth at a Ridgeback hovering over an egg. His mouth was ajar over a nest, tongue drooling out of his jaws. Leena was stunned. She didn't know what to do. Blinking twice, she then lowered herself to the ground.
The tundra showed her fangs, hoping that her action would work. She gulped and made her fur stand on end while making a call to the clan.

Leena waited and then, upon being caught, the male Ridgeback opened his wings and flew off. The tundra snorted, a dragon trying to eat the eggs?! Mutiny.
Leena sighed and sat down. Se observed each nest, making sure they were untouched. She sniffed each nest, counted the eggs, and then began to guard them. 'I should get training from Yin,' she thought while tapping her blue tufted tail nervously against the ground.
The dragon looked around with her light green eyes scanning her surroundings. Nothing out of place except a few reeds. Leena stood up and looked into the bundle of reeds. An egg was lying there. It was green and transparent. She could see the squirming red hatchling inside. It must have been brought along by the Ridgeback. Sighing once more, Leena picked up the egg and curled around it while making sure that the dragon didn't come back.

"He couldn't be coming back," she said to herself. There was nothing to come back to but trouble. She nodded briskly and looked down at the small egg. It wriggled and shook. Leena backed up as the goopy shell burst open. A light red Fae peeped, shaking itself from the sticky residue.
Leena plucked the Fae out of the egg and began to clean the hatchling. Humming, she watched the little dragon open her bright red eyes. Leena smiled and chuckled. What an eventful day.
