There are several things that connect the ideas of love and birth, and similar ideas between life and death, but many may not be aware of the thing that connects all those ideas, the goddess Bebhionn. Caring and kind, Bebhionn reminds all that bask in her glory that death is not unkind, and that life should be lived to the fullest.

Bebhionn’s duties in the clan require a special touch that it seems only she can possess, explaining the ideas and realities of death to the hatchlings of the clan. Although it doesn’t have the same connotation, Bebhionn also takes it upon herself to explain the process of exalting, to follow a deity through to the other side and support it with all of a dragon’s power. These delicate topics take a sweet touch and a very patient mindset, both of which Bebhionn is able to provide. On top of this, Bebhionn enjoys helping out in the hatchery, making sure the eggs are well cared for and the soon-to-be parents understood all the things that they would need to do.

Many of these parents will seem to be forever grateful, especially because Bebhionn isn’t just there to answer questions once, she’s there to answer for as long as they need it. The goddess is often seen as a sort of encyclopedia on child rearing. Sometimes this can get a little annoying, personal time is called ‘personal’ for a reason, but truth be told, Bebhionn doesn’t mind too much. People ask her questions because they care about their children and they want to raise the little hatchlings right. That is all that really matters to her.

Although she is the goddess of, among other things, the Underworld, Bebhionn does seem to be quite an avid enjoyer of natural landscapes, specifically rivers and streams. Large or small, fast moving or slow, these natural bodies of water hold a special place in her heart. No one, not even her mate Apollo know for sure why that is. Perhaps it is the marriage between the earth and the water or perhaps it would be just the simple beauty of it. Perhaps it is something else entirely. Love has that sly, secretive nature about it. Why should the goddess of it be any different?

As the goddess of, among other things, Love, it is no surprise that Bebhionn is as affectionate as she is. The target of her affections is the god of Knowledge, Music, and the Sun - Apollo. As they are both relatively busy people, Bebhionn and Apollo lead their own separate lives throughout most of the day. Sometimes they might their midday meal, but the pair are usually a fair way away from each other until the sun begins to set and most workers head to their home for the night. In their alone time, Bebhionn can be a mite bit clingy, but she does it from a good place and she knows that if it isn’t wanted, then she would stop. Bebhionn is always noticed as being very sweet, time spent alone with her mate is absolutely no different.

Bebhionn brought an injured hatchling to Apollo and was impressed with how good he was with healing and keeping the hatchling calm. She began to fall in love with him then.
