Toons
Toons - They/Them
Toons is an individual who tends to keep to themselves, only finding company in a very small amount of others. They can be sarcastic at times, and it isn't unlikely for them to make a crude joke here and there. Their wings are made from different fabrics that they patched together due to hatching with barely any/no wing membrane. Every so often they find a patch of fabric they can't resist, and it gets added to their wings.
Having some sort of relation to Loki, Toons helps the trio by keeping their loot stored safely in their base until the group can safely take it back to their town. Toons' lair is located in a part of the waterways hidden near Willowsong, the Shadow-based town in which Loki and her partners reside. The base is guarded by one of the native Rat King's that Toons has befriended, who usually responds to the name Cerberus.
Cerberus also helps out by acting as both a guard-rat for any loot stored currently, and stashing away the loot in the small nooks and crannies of the base, retrieving said loot when it's needed.
They can also slam their twisted tails onto any uncooperative chests they can't open.
Their iguana's name is Spitfire, and they like the tasty gems. But Spitfire isn't allowed the gems.
That wont stop Spitfire from trying.
They usually have two masses on their wings while they work; one being Spitfire, reaching for whatever Toons is holding, hoping for a nom, and the other being their small Veilspun companion, Twilight.
Toons uses bug and various bug-related terms to affectionately refer to Twilight. (They still cannot believe that there could be anything smaller than a fae, other than occasional Noc or Bog.)

Today something.. strange, I guess you could say, occurred.
It started out normal, sorting out the last little remains of the trios most recent haul, keeping Spitfire from eating the last few unsorted gems, the usual.
And then, Loki and her partners arrived earlier than usual. I wasn't expecting them until tomorrow at the most. I usually get a bit more time to breath in between the sorting of hauls, but not today.
They came in, carrying these.. strange looking chests. Purple and blue hued and radiating an uncomfortable vibe, unlike any others they had 'found' and brought to me before.
Apparently they had just.. suddenly appeared all over Sornieth, probably related to the sudden flood of Nocturnes. And the trio was curious as to what was hiding in it. Of course we got Cerberus to swiftly open it, to find a strange looking statue, possibly haunted or enchanted.
The other chests they had brought were swiftly opened, our curiosity in what else these chests held growing more, and we found stuff ranging from pieces of apparel, seemingly haunted items with minds of their own, and even a strange egg, from a nocturne according to Aurelia.
They left, vowing to find more of these odd chests, bringing them over in groups of ten. And Loki, just as they were flying off, asked me if I could specifically keep track of what we find in each chest.
So I guess I have a lot of work ahead of me. I better get ready.

And one more interesting detail, while moving some of the items into storage, I found a peculiar little fellow hiding on the exterior of one of the unopened chest, a little bug-like dragon from what I could tell. They were quickly moved to the nest so work could continue being done, but they continuously found their way back to the other chests. They only stopped after seemingly growing tired of their little game, and crawled up onto my unoccupied wing and swiftly fell asleep.
I guess I have a new friend to help me out now.

All of the loot ranged from a lot of cursed objects, that Cerberus only just barely managed to control using their size and intimidation to their advantage, a range of interesting cosmetics that they might be able to sell for a pretty penny, quite a few pieces of apparel, and 3 Nocturne eggs.

Thankfully Cerberus could grab me in time, but we were wary about lil' bug being anywhere near that thing, but the two seemed to have bonded. As of writing this sentance, he's curled up on top of the chest just like he was when I first found him.
It's quite cute, actually.

A much more handleable haul for today, Loki and co. managed to bring in fifty nine chests. About half of yesterdays lot, but still a lot to go through, especially with a few remnants of yesterdays items still being sorted.

A grand total of five of the previously unhatched eggs decided to hatch throughout the day, with a few more shaking more and more frequently as I write this entry. The last hatch in particular is a rather interesting Nocturne, who hatched with many extra eyes. I know that the others are going to be moved to the town tomorrow, but I may ask Loki to let me hold this one, who I've currently nicknamed 'Seraph', to stay with me, for at least a little bit longer.
And another update on the now identified bug dragon, or a 'Veilspun' as Venom called it. She was also the one who came up with a few ideas for name, with little bug taking an extreme liking to one in particular.
The newly named Twilight is watching from my wing as I write this, making what I assume are happy buzzing noises. And now they're rapidly nodding their head, so definitely happy buzzing noises.
They were also a great help today, keeping the eggs company, even if only for a few minutes at a time before sneaking back to their Ectoplasmime.

Loki and co. brought Seraph with them during the batch of chests that they took the new hatchlings home, and she hit it off with the shadowling, whom I nicknamed 'Hibiscus.'
I also cannot get over Loki's Dire Claw, who she brought with her, outfitted with different sashes, bags and pouches. The affectionately named 'Striped' looked ridiculous, but at least thanks to all of that extra space, they were able to take most of the haunted things and some of the apparel to sell.
So it's at least a lot less cluttered now.

We managed to find a whopping eight eggs in the chests, and only managed to make enough room for them in the nests because six of the older eggs hatched, including the small shadow egg. I've nicknamed a few of them, and they were taken to the clan. Loki and co. brought Seraph with them during the batch of chests that they took the new hatchlings home, and she hit it off with the shadowling, whom I nicknamed 'Hibiscus.'
