Shastensis: an enjoyer of good company, great jokes, and even better food. Co-founder of the Steppes, he is a loving dragon, eager to make new friends and even more eager to keep them. There is not a single dragon in the clan that Shastensis can't name by sight, and he finds great joy in surprising them with trinkets and baubles he finds on his travels. He works hard to make the Steppes a home for all, and not a soul goes wanting while they are in his care.

Shastensis was the first to meet Palmeri after her frantic flight across Sornieth and, after hearing her story, took her in without hesitation. They grew close quickly, despite Palmeri's rather standoffish nature, and would eventually go on to become conjunx. There is no dragon alive that Palmeri trusts more than Shastensis, and he knows it; it's one of his most prized accomplishments.
