While Asmo is very much his own dragon, there is something to be said of his connection to Blaze. The combined efforts of the two lead the clan to efficiency. Much the same as a fine pocket watch consistently meets the hour, Asmo and Blaze rarely let a deadline or need go unattended, though Asmo tends to more social matters than his scholarly partner. Often, it is Asmo who fields the endless requests of the public - a den that has lost heat here, a child who has developed a strange incurable cough there - for Blaze to engineer a solution to, an agreement that they both seemed to have reached without discussion. This seems to be the case with many of the couple’s inner workings, so attuned are they. And it works as wonderfully in the context of clan bureaucracy as it does their personal lives. Outside of Blaze, Asmo enjoys the opportunity for socialization being a recognized community leader provides. There is always a friend at the ready wherever he goes - and therefore, stories to be told, and experiences to be had. Calling him a thrillseeker seems to be a bit of a stretch, but he does like to keep his mind active with a challenge, academic or otherwise. When a dragon needs help, he’ll move mountains to provide for them (literally, if his partner lends him the technology to do so). When emergencies unfold, he is the first to hear and respond to it, sometimes before clan medica. If a hunt needs to be done, he’ll be the first to volunteer a spear, even if he has no idea how to wield it. This attitude can lead to his detriment, as limits seem to be an unfamiliar concept to him when overcome with the desire to accomplish something. Fortunately, Blaze has developed a means to keep her partner grounded when he needs to be, and exploratory when he should be - an extension of the scientific method, if you will. |
