TITLE XXX
My fins are my feathers, so I can fly underwater.

My claws are my friends, so I don't loss my way.

My lamp is my guide, lighting my path and revealing my foes.

My feathers? They are simply ornaments that holds no importance.

notes ❧

Marked by their snowy-white down and pale, stunning plumage, Albino Crows are a mutation from Effluvial Crows. A recent wave of mutations caused the Albino Crows to become nearly as unstable as their own contagions. Originally forced into exile, they are now solitary and highly territorial creatures. Many have abandoned their allies and families to live a self-serving existence, carving out their own territories to patrol and either capturing intruders with their contagion or chasing them off. This self-serving and antagonistic behavior combats against their proliferation, and it is now rare to encounter a fully-grown Albino Crow (level 20 or higher).

The Albino Crow contagion has likewise mutated, allowing them to Mark and control dragons through pheromones emitted from the eye markings on their wings.

As rare as it is for an Effluvial Crow to attempt the Trials, it is rarer still for the solitary, territorial Albino Crow to make the attempt. Even so, the temptation for ever more power and prestige can induce an Albino Crow to the Wyrmwound. Others may seek the Trials in an attempt to gain control over the mutations that changed them. Should they succeed, they make for an unpredictable addition to the Necromancer ranks.

The distinctive white down of the Albino Crow remains untouched. The disease they mastered is lightened - their plumage takes on lighter hues of red, while the trademarked stitches of plague that marks all Necromancers are often lighter and sometimes brighter, taking on an appearance not dissimilar from fresh scars. Necromancers unfamiliar with these variants may at first believe them to be some new deviation, if they recognize them as Necromancers at all.

As with the Effluvial Crows, clever and creative Albino Crows can discover new ways to utilize their natural contagion, drawing on their newfound mastery of infection and plague. The mutations can be stabilized, and perhaps even controlled, allowing them greater range, more subtle delivery methods, or even the ability to control the potency of their contagion.

~~Necromantic Symbols~~

Necromantic symbols can be represented by skins or apparel, but must in some way confer an air of 'nobility' to the dragon. Symbols also suggest the role your Necromancer will perform in your clan. These are largely left up to the player's interpretation, but some examples are below.

Lamps (in this case represented by Steampunk Tail Baubles):
A symbol of learning, openness, bravery, exploration, humility, even-handedness, and wisdom. Necromancers bearing lamps often forgo the traditional role of noble adviser and are more often solitary. Instead of worldly power they seek personal enlightenment, and to guide others along that path. Unlike their sigil-bearing counterparts who seek to spread Plague gospel through domination, these Necromancers are content with a more peaceful missionary role, or that of a solitary sage who leaves others to come to them. In a group that defines itself through its command and nobility, the humble, lamp-bearing Necromancer is a rare creature indeed.

Crows who choose to strike out on their own may find themselves gravitating towards Lamps. Generally an unpopular symbol, given the inherent meaning it conveys, Crows will alter that meaning to that of a warrior-sage who challenges bandits or tyrants to test their skill, while seeking their enlightenment amidst the fight itself. To little surprise, it is the Albino variations that are more likely to take on Lamps as their symbol.
