Uh-oh, looks like this young rogue of a sky-dancer wandered a little too far from their home lair (452562, Hyzenthlaay), and now they’re off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt them, we'd really appreciate it if you instead could just return them to their original home via the Crossroads, send them off in the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread (warning, you will get another traveler in return if you do this), or if you don’t want another traveler in return, this rest hub. You can also adopt them permanently if you don’t want them leaving your lair - just contact Hyzenthlaay and let her know (it’s good for her notes)! Many people have worked very hard on this traveling dragon, and exalting them would be an absolute shame. Please don’t do it! Single in eyes and company, this partially-blind thief hasn't exactly has the easiest life during his short time in Sornieth. Accidentally knicked from his nest as an egg by a small band of gung-ho thieves, Thaumas been exclusively raised in a life of underground crime. This isn't to say that he is particularly good at it. Even under the careful training of his "liberators", he's never been particularly strong, and his left eye was born at an angle so lopsided that it was rendered totally blind by the time he hit adulthood. This made the team's new "addition" more trouble than he was worth, and Thaumas was quickly abandoned once they were reasonably confident he survive on his own. This small allowance on their end confirmed the worst in Thaumas' heart - that they were the closest thing to family he would ever find. He slinks about Sornieth, committing petty crime to make it day-to-day. His abilities as a healer are fairly competent, but he has difficulty securing work in healthcare for long, forcing him to return to thievery before long. Thaumas is fairly easy to take advantage of, happy to follow alongside anyone that spares him a kind word. Originally written by @Hyzenthlaay, lore shop here. Tynethyne, Clan Seawolf wrote:
It did not take him very long to find the clan who had sent him to Clan Mavenlark orginally. The residents were surprised to see him back so soon. No sooner had he stepped across the boundary than one pearlcatcher, a vampire if he recalled correctly, picked him up by the scruff of the neck. A short bumpy journey later, he was unceremoniously dumped in front of an older pearl catcher, this one with a multitude of red eyes lining it's side. "He's back," said the first, with hardly a trace of emotion, before turning away and leaving." Thaumas squirmed in front of the second's inspection, unnerved by the unblinking eyes and the too-sharp fangs. As if sensing his unease, the second drew back with a sad smile. "My apologies, I'm Erebus, and you just met my son, Thresher," he said warmly. "You have nothing to fear from us." And indeed, within a few days, Thaumas warmed up to Erebus considerably, especially upon the discovery that Erebus was a doctor and very good at his craft. The pearlcatcher, also a vampire like Flesher, spent a considerable amount of time teaching him healing skills and answering whatever questions he had. By the time his time with the clan had drawn to a close, he looked up to Erebus as a mentor, perhaps even as an uncle. As he gave the vampire a last hug goodbye, Erebus handed him a last gift to help him on his way.

Thaumas decided to stay here for quite some time, only deciding to leave when he later found out that the "friendly" dragon that was following him around really wasn't a member of Crow Callers. He'd planned to rob Thaumas, but found that he had nothing valuable on him anyway. Confused, Thaumas decided to leave.
