Isavar is a confident dragon that never misses a beat. In conversation he cracks jokes and includes everyone, changing topics often to keep others interested. His collected front has those around trusting and relying on his decisions.
Unfortunately when Isavar puts his mind to something he’s hard to convince otherwise. This stubbornness can be enforced when his mate’s unwillingness to bend supports his cause. Put these two factors together and dragons just have to hope that whatever Isavar is doing is right.

━━ Biography ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Firstborn son of a “retired” pirate captain isn’t ever easy. As a hatchling he played tag along the dark corridors of the ship’s belly, learned to fly from the Crow’s Nest, and hid in a barrel during ship battles. As a child he served as the bosun’s cabin boy, worked as a swabbie for punishment, and caused his first cooking fires in the gallery. As a teenager he learned to navigate using the stars, fight off pirates using his own claws, and apprenticed as the ship’s first mate. As an adult he commanded his own ships as the captain, got drunk in taverns with his crew, and found a lifelong mate in his quartermaster. Isavar's life has been tied to the sea since hatching and would stay that way for his entire life. Even now he sails with his family and crew into a new adventure.

Isavar clawed his way up the ranks through his own efforts without the support of his father. Shipwright actually burdened Isavar more than anything as he gave him tasks outside of his normal duties to prove himself. In total Isavar has sailed on several ships but only captained two. His first was a small merchant ship, the Trench Trader, which was unfortunately sunk by a band of pirates. Also unfortunately, at least for the pirates, Isavar was quick to come back with his father in tow. After that Isavar was given the Tradewinds Rover, a much larger merchant ship with just a few added protections, and became a menace to any hopeful pirates looking for easy loot.

Within his family Isavar is the heir and oldest brother. He loves his younger siblings dearly and does his best to provide them a spot on his crew if they want it. In turn his siblings turn to Isavar for support and a guide. He knows his father views him to be “easygoing” because of how friendly and caring he tries to be but doesn’t care. This isn’t just about his siblings. Isavar is confident that choosing diplomacy first and violence second is the right way to do things. Shipwright on the other hand believes violence is the best answer to problems. Father and son clash about this quite often while Jei, his mother, only shakes her head at their antics.

━━ Notes ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
- If the Sanctuary ever goes to war, Isavar would become the admiral of the Wavebreak Merchants to relieve his father of some of his duties

- Isavar regularly feeds a Highfin Sea Serpent that occasionally decides to defend his ship. He named it Finley.
