A Nature dragon who has embraced the plague? Needless to say, Calliope likes to live a little dangerously. A performer by nature but solitary at heart, she wanders from audience to audience, charming and enthralling dragons of all origins with her strange, otherworldly music, plucked from strings made of sinew. Calliope usually prefers to perform alone, and the other bards of Hecuba's clan consider it a great privilege to play with her -- and audiences consider it a show not to be missed when dragons such as Whistler perform with her.
As far as other friendships go, Calliope is difficult to be friends with simply for her tendency to be distant, to disappear without warning, and to otherwise be as inconsistent as the breeze. Most dragons simply don't have the patience to put in such a one-sided effort, and so her only true friendships are with the dragons who don't mind waiting for her to inevitably circle back to them and say hello -- dragons such as Rook, Bronagh, and, in the uncommon event their paths cross, Silas. She's also on good terms with Hyun, who built her favorite harp.
