One of the youngest mercenaries under KORPINKANTAJA’s control, Kuurankutsu is probably one of the most pitied of them.
After she left her home clan to find her own path, to build her own life she soon came to the realization it wasn’t nearly as easy job as she had thought. Not many welcomed her with open arms, or maybe her luck just was the absolute worst, but nobody seemed to want her around anywhere she went.
Feeling pitiful of her situation she deemed it the best to start to lie her way inside the bigger clans – she had grown into a bitter young adult and if she was welcomed nowhere despite her best efforts… What would a little lie here and there hurt? Probably it wouldn’t have, but in the end she honed her talking skills, becoming more and more believable with her deceptions and sooner than later she could fool a king to share his treasures with her with a promise of it making a great difference in their kingdom.
After that, she left with the treasures obtained and left no tracks to follow, as the name she usually gave others, Talvenlapsi led them nowhere.

That was, until Korpinkantaja found her and after an intense argument, it seemed to offer a better deal for Kuurankutsu. To have a place to stay, to gain treasure and as her new boss promised her skills would have a good use as a mercenary… She was sceptical, but Kuurankutsu accepted.

Her social skills are honed to their best edge, and she uses them well to either benefit her and her friends or to cause as much chaos as she possibly can with only a few words. Somehow the lies have became better than the truth to her, and where as Kuurankutsu stays (somewhat) honest with the ones responsible of her and who can protect her… Strangers aren’t safe. Even with her newly gained job she hasn’t given up on her career as a con artist and when not on a mission, sometimes even during that, she enjoys small talk with others. Sometimes it includes deception and an attempt to strip others from their riches to give to her – and Kuurankutsu has quite of a collection of stolen treasures! There’s no a pretty word for it, she’s a hoarder and excuses it as keeping trophies from her success.
Which, in all honesty, everyone disapproves.

During her years, Kuurankutsu has became very insightful, easily picking out the weakest of minds and the easiest to fool – and what to use against them. Still she attempts to limit it so she won’t ruin the reputation of their group completely and rather uses her skill to gain an unfair advantage over their enemies. Or, to gain an unfair advantage over the ones who gives them the jobs if someone dares to try and fool their small group.

In the end, the only thing Kuurankutsu wants is being accepted somewhere. She still doesn’t feel that way, even if she has a permanent place in the dynasty and in the mercenary group as she gets a lot of critique because of her habits. It is a paradox of wanting to be honest and open herself to the others, but being scared of being vulnerable, the immediate feeling once they truly know what she thinks and feels like they will despise her like everyone else before them.
Kuurankutsu still has a lot to learn before she can truly be herself and let the old habits finally to their rest.
