HAZARMAVETH
|| the spirit of conflicts ||
cunning | manipulative | petty

ApgBAHm.png "We are the ones that rule the world now, you are entrapped by blind inanity"
A being more ancient than the time itself that was born from the conflicts of dragonkind and the paradoxes of existence. The old stories talk a lot about a malevolent spirit, that brought chaos and conflicts whehrever she walked, wherever she walked past was followed by miserable events. All kinds of tragedies, as Hazarmaveth, the spirit of paradoxes and conflicts, was free to wander and gather a sure following for her intentions – they formed cults, serving her as a higher being and so she became the first member of the Court of Death.

The spirits of better nature couldn’t watch from the side any longer as Hazarmaveth would’ve brought the whole Sornieth into chaos if not stopped and soon. Weeks long battle ensued, the both sides took a lot of casualties, for the whole time no side could be sure of their victory.
In the end Hazarmaveth was banished to the realm where she came from and her followers were forced to hide in the shadows, waiting for the day that the malevolent spirit rose again.

During thousands of years, it repeated again and again. Hazarmaveth rose and so did her following, only to be ruined in the end by the good-natured spirits. She couldn’t be sealed away, it would put the forces of good and evil out of balance and bring more harm than good.

And this time, things have taken a different, more concerning route. Hazarmaveth kept quiet long enough and meanwhile gathered multiple other spirits to join her in the Court to balance the incoming fight. Perhaps this time, it is good spirits that must accept their fate and let the Court reign over Sornieth.
Perhaps it is time to accept Hazarmaveth walk on the same ground and only attempt to minimize the harm she and the Court will bring…

Included in her malevolent nature, Hazarmaveth is considered as a charismatic talker with too good insight. She knows what others want to hear better than her own pockets, and quickly figures out what they don’t. It eases her ways to create conflict wherever she goes if she so wishes – and usually does, turning others against each other makes her job a lot easier.
This gargantuan imperial is still loyal to the members of the Court, as long as they show loyalty to her and their cause – but hesitate a bit and Hazarmaveth is glad to throw them to the wolves. All the members of the court have been accepted by her and so she knows everyone, quietly watching their progress and to keep an eye on them, if there is any chance of a spy or treachery.
