Child of a clown and a taxidermist - it sounds like the set-up to an off-kilter joke, and yet, it's the reality that Gib and his two brothers live through every day. It was anyone's guess when the three hatched which of their parents they would end up taking after most. Gib had a talent for vocal and physical impersonations from a young age, a charismatic trait that earned him more than enough time in the limelight with his classmates to be considered a veritable "class clown". It was a title he wore with honor - after all, his father was a clown, and Gib treated his heritage as if he were to take after a king. Kids loved that his birthday parties took place at the circus every year with free tickets for the entire class and their parents, courtesy of course to his father's sway. But as years ticked forward, having a clown for a father became less and less of a desirable trait among his peers. Gib never got the message until an eventful birthday in which none of his classmates came to the performance, leaving Gib an entire aisle to himself. The event should have shattered him, but as always, his legendary father came to the rescue and pulled him into the ring as the rest of the circus' audience watched. Placing the child aside him and whispering "follow my lead", the head clown proceeded to take his viewers through a wildly eclectic visual adventure with Gib in tow. The clown spun a story that his shadow had come to life and refused to leave him alone, much to his frustration and the crowd's delight. The two mimed their hearts out, partaking in a bit of physical slapstick as they went thanks to the litany of props Gib's father had out on stage, and even improvised a few tricks. At the end of it all, no one was any the wiser that Gib's inclusion was totally unplanned - so great was his ability to perform. The events of that day did not harden Gib the way it would have most. If anything, it gave the tundra even more appreciation for his father. As soon as he was old enough, he too began working in his father's place of employment, which he continues to this day. Not only does he act as his father's understudy should something go awry - but sometimes the two do a spontaneous mirror routine all over again.
