Just as Cenere was convinced that perhaps they really could live with their affliction.. the group encountered Redox.
He was staggering about in a similar manner to Driftwood, but seemed to be more conscious of his condition; he was constantly terrified, fully aware of the fact he was deteriorating and would not have much time left. When Redox learned of Hydnellum's plan to cure the affliction, still he lacked hope, believing it would be too late for him. He hesitantly agreed to travel with them, but he would need many breaks and often had to be carried.
Seeing another fae so similar to them in a more advanced stage of his affliction, Cenere was hit with a harsh reality. They cannot go on like this.
