Welcome to the Sunspot Clearing!

This clan boasts beautiful scenery and friendly inhabitants, a rare segment of the Shrieking Wilds where the sun shines through. Whether you plan to stay or are just popping in to say hello, you're guaranteed to be met with a warm welcome- even those rebellious few are truly kindhearted, and just like the sun, their good Nature trickles through even the darkest canopies.

Speaking of dark canopies: if you're not one for bright light and open spaces, there's always the Shelter! The clearing of light can only stretch so far, so the Shelter beneath the trees is where the majority of this clan's inhabitants reside. The clan's leaders, Esperienza and Argento, have made their home here as well- feel free to talk to them for any advice you may have, or just for a nice chat! I wouldn't bother asking too many questions though. Consider it a non-disclosure agreement of sorts; they don't speak of much!

If you feel unwell suddenly, don't worry- it happens to the best of us! Just head on over to the Infirmary and they'll fix you right up! After all, they've healed some terrible Inflictions before. There's nothing they can't cure! In fact, some visitors come here just for the treatment at our Infirmary! Of course since they all feel well so soon, many of them visit for a while longer- some even become permanent residents.

The Sunspot Clearing is also very lucky to boast somewhat of a world heritage site! While the ancient Temple may not be entered past the front Sorcery Room, our historians Dia and Echino are always happy to share the amazing tales of what this place once was! You must not go any further, though. That is because the structural integrity past this point is far too unsafe to enter. It's not very interesting back there anyway, just some old rubble. Lots of dust. That's it.

If you know where to look, heading north towards the sea you may spot a large ship at a secluded harbour. That is L'Aventure II, a great seafaring vessel that is perhaps centuries old! It has been left abandoned, and noone truly knows where the crew went- though rumour has it that it was once the mode of transport for many famous pirates throughout time! If you find a secluded harbour with no ship, it's the wrong one. An abandoned ship doesn't move. L'Aventure is abandoned. We will not stand for accusations of harbouring dangerous criminals, and certainly no pirates.

Finally, there is The Strangers' Den- this is where the Sunspot Clearing welcomes those who feel as though they can never belong. The dragons here embrace their oddities and quirks, resulting in their "Stranger" nickname. While they largely prefer to keep to themselves - you may even walk right past the entrance on your first visit! - if you, too, feel as though you don't belong no matter how hard you try, perhaps you will find a place with the Strangers. Just like the rest of the Sunspot Clearing, they're exceptionally welcoming and loving. If nowhere else, you're guaranteed to feel at home here.
