Recrudesce guided the group to a boneyard, "subtly" attempting to convince them to coexist with their afflictions all the while. When Cenere told her they had changed their mind, she became agitated - then simply laughed. And from the shadows, the tattered wreck of splintered bones and organic matter, emerged a figure... its acquaintance: Cantaloupe. A great, hulking Ridgeback with mist surrounding him at all times, mist that seemed to warp and gape in the shape of faces wearing mock screams. The two had decided; if these foolish travellers will not bow to their afflictions, then they would make them.
Cantaloupe was powerful; much larger than any of the travellers. Hydnellum and Razor were swiftly incapacitated while Nesta scuffled with Recrudesce. Occhio posed more of a challenge, but was ultimately overwhelmed by Cantaloupe's power and size. That, along with their own affliction making them weak, seemed to spell demise for Occhio. They were not gone yet - but at the mercy of Cantaloupe and Recrudesce, it felt as if they already were.
