Biography

Yzylth, Protector Of The Forest

hmmmmm3.png

Yzylth isn't easy to be-friend. Unlike the other veils she preferred living hidden and unknown. She never new her real parents, they had set her out into a clan when the veils made their appearance into the world. She was adopted into the family of Hawke and Veda. She wasn't used to the way that everyone else lived. She wasn't used to the sheer size of everything. The veil world was small and she hated the size of sorneith. She didn't think anyone else existed. She was in her own bubble. And then was thrown out of it. All she could remember was the feeling of her mother's hair and her parent's eyes glowing as she was pushed out of the vines and into light. It burned, the air was different and the smells hurt her throat. She was nothing but a little hatchling. Yzylth was told that when she was little she had no antlers on her head, just the starry mane that kept her protected and hidden. The mane that had almost kept her safe from Veda and Hawke. But, Veda was a clever pearl, she snatched the veil up and fostered her as much as she could do.

Yzylth never spoke to any siblings that she had, they never spoke to her. She was strange but she liked that no one talked to her. She would be left with her own thoughts and her own ways to solve things. No one would interfere with her constant thinking. She quickly grew to be very clever. But yet, even as she aged she had no horns. The other veils in the clan would try and interact with her, but she heard their whispers. They noted on her no horns. They weren't judgmental, The Colony of Growth didn't foster mean and judgemental dragons, but that didn't stop them from wondering what had happened to her. Hawke did his best to communicate and love her after Veda had left, but Yzylth was not willing to give him a chance. Eventually she did give someone a chance, Leaf. He was gentle and patient with her. She didn't confide in him too much, but they did have good chats and she enjoyed her time with him.

But, it wasn't long before she left to find a new home. The colony of growth was a wonderful home, it just wasn't for her and she was old enough to make her own decisions. She wandered around the behemoth for a while, the tree was vast and she was not used to the floor. Her clan had lived on the highest branches. But, while she found the land odd she felt a better connection to the tree. She had a journey for a few days to get to know the behemoth. She learned quickly the way it moved and grew, the way it grew and loved. On this journey her horns began to grow. She never noticed them growing, they never ached nor got in her way. On the last day of her journey she was walking around the last bend and there before her stood a face in the tree. She gasped frightened, but the tree spoke gently to her. Not through the roots as it usually did.

"Yzylth, you have been patient and listened, you trust and know me well. So, as the glade-keeper, I name you a protector of the forest. You will guard from those that try to harm me and my saplings. Go now, your new home awaits you. They will take you with open arms." Yzylth left, stunned into silence. She was unsure if the tree had come alive or if that had possibly been glade mother. But either way she took what she said and left. She didn't know where home was but she felt she was being called out of the dense forest so she left. It took her a few days before she came across a river. Thirstily she bent over only jumping back to find antlers had sprouted on her head with gorgeous blue blossoms. She drank the water staring at her blooms, her eyes would not be pulled away from them until big rain drops pounded on her small body. She knew she'd have to find shelter quickly or else she'd be stuck, her wings were not made for the rain. She flew quickly into some sort of cave thing, it was dry here.

She lingered in the cave entrance for a bit before realizing it tunneled further. She glided down the tunnel, being careful not to bump her new antlers. The smell of dragons grew stronger and she was shocked to find a huge cave with tulip lanterns hung around entrances all along the sides of the cave. There were some tables set up to the left, two fluffy dragons sat there talking to each other. Rain poured down through a hole in the ceiling but it continued down into a hole in the center of the cave. It made a lovely sound as it hit the water way down below. She looked around the cave some more, startled she found that giant purple gem-crusted imp was laid up against the back wall, she was looking down at a small blue...veil? Before she could get noticed Yzylth melted into the foliage that grew from the cave walls. Some of these plants sported glowing blue flowers, they would match her antlers well.

Yzylth studied the other dragons for a while until she caught a sound of some large wings flapping in the distance, the sound grew closer. A rumble was sent across the ground and walls as whatever it was landed. She heard the steps of the creature coming down the hall and its tail drag along behind it. Out poked a gigantic head first and followed the body. The dragon had a navy, teal, and purple skink pattern over their body, the wings curled at their sides were butterfly patterns, and its belly shone in what light there was in the cave. The imp's wings shimmered more with the raindrops, enhancing the beautiful mermaid fin pattern on their wings. They carefully stepped over towards where the purple imp is laying, going around the right side so that their faces come face to face. The navy imp gently booped noses with the purple one and gently rested their body down. Its tail encircling the hole in the cave and ending near where the fluffy dragons sat.

"How were the main islands my butterfly?" The purple dragon spoke, the voice behind the dragon was a femininely gentle and caring voice yet it talked slightly slower like they had a harder time taking in breaths to talk.

"Everything seems to be going swell. A lot of the flowers are beginning to blossom more now that it is spring, it would be lovely to take you on a fly around sometime."

"Oh that sounds like it would be incredibly marvelous, maybe we could go out tomorrow if this rain stops?"

"Sounds like a plan, but I think for right now I will go rest my old bones." The navy imperial got up, giving the purple imperial a kiss on the forehead, and then headed down one of the large tunnels that led off from the tunnel. The fluffy dragons had left some time while the imps had conversed, yzylth wasn't completely paying attention.
