She always had a fondness for books and knowledge, so when her wings were destroyed in an accident she dived into the scrolls in the city’s library. Eventually she was accepted as the librarian despite of her tremendous size.

She is accompanied by two cats, Rufus and Saya. While Saya never leaves Mesai's side, Rufus loves to greet new visitors or cuddle with the regulars. He doesn't care if they like it or not.
