A young but talented first-generation Veilspun, Avaris and his twin brother Memphis were orphaned at a young age and came to Home as hatchlings. A driven, studious, and intelligent young dragon, Avaris is a dragon who is passionate about pretty much everything. Interested in theology and the religions of Sornieth, he is a dragon who has truly never known a stranger and is more than happy to become friends with pretty much everyone, and he is known around Home as an excellent student with a creative and adventurous personality.

- Biography
Avaris and his twin brother Memphis were born to a Clan located on one of the floating isles right on the border between Arcane and Earth. As things turned out, Avaris hatched with Arcane eyes and magic, and Memphis got Earth eyes and magic. The twins were left orphaned when their birth Clan became the victim of one of the skirmishes around Earth's borders, and they came to Home when they were still hatchlings. Avaris knows that many of his friends at Home have never known birth family, and he feels himself extremely grateful to have his brother Memphis. He prides himself on his ability to make friends easily, and his professors have always encouraged his kind and compassionate nature. Despite the twins' rocky start to life, Avaris is known around Home for being a generally optimistic and cheerful sort of dragon.

- Life at Home
A brilliant and passionate student, Avaris loves learning and pushes himself to succeed in class. He is a frequent volunteer to help organize study sessions and enjoys chatting with his professors and taking on additional projects. He is deeply interested in the religions of Sornieth and the study of theology, and his open-minded personality and eagerness to learn have already helped him distinguish himself as an exceptional student despite his young age. Though Arcane dragons are often magically gifted, Avaris has never displayed much in the way of magical skill. A dragon who is accustomed to being naturally good at most things he tries, he was content to simply gain the basic degree of magical competency expected of young dragons and then never pursue further magical instruction. He prefers not to bother himself trying to force himself to get better at things he doesn't think he's good at. Though most of his professors agree he's right that he should focus on what he enjoys, they often wish he could see past his perfectionism and keep trying at something he doesn't think he's immediately good at.

- Relationships
A friendly and amiable sort of dragon, Avaris is one of those dragons who declares himself friends with another after talking to them for five minutes. Often uninterested in Hall competitiveness, he has close friends from all Halls, although he's closest with his best friends Eliezer and Rigel. He knows dragons from every Hall, but most of his friends come from his own Hall or from Álfheimr Hall, where he often takes classes due to his interest in the arts and visits to spend time with Memphis, who is in Álfheimr Hall. Despite being in different Halls, Memphis and Avaris remain very close, sharing similar interests and a shared passion for pursuing their dreams. Avaris' perfectionism often gets on Memphis' nerves, and Memphis' haughty attitude can annoy Avaris, but the twins nonetheless get along well and enjoy spending time with each other. Avaris is known in Niflheimr Hall as a friendly dragon who is easy to get to know, and he is often one of the first to introduce himself to new dragons.

- Personality
A creative and imaginative dragon, Avaris is excellent at thinking outside the box. He loves dreaming up new solutions to problems, practicality being optional. Despite his reputation as an easy-going sort of dragon, he is also very independent and self-reliant by nature. He doesn't mean to be rebellious, he just sort of assumes that rules might not be intended for him. He loves spending time with friends and studying with his Hallmates, but Avaris thinks he's at his best when he has time to himself. He can sometimes become snappy or annoyed if he's not getting enough alone time to recharge his batteries. Alongside his reputation as an excellent student, Avaris can be counted upon to be a very kind, considerate, and helpful sort of dragon, happily going out of his way to help whenever he can and go above and beyond what is expected of him. This means he sometimes over-extends himself, but most of his friends know to help him set boundaries so he doesn't have to feel like he has to help everyone all at once.
